chrome clear?

I have an 88 chevy k2500. I have painted the grille with dupli-color chrome and am very happy with the results considering its chrome in a can. My ? is should I wait 7 days for it to cure and then clear coat it so that I can wet sand and buff the orange peel?

looks good. did you primer the surfaces before you painted?

i believe that it only takes 24 hours to cure. i usually give it 48 hours.

that sure would make it a lot easier. the can says 7 days. ?
