I believe this has been covered before - do you recommend color sanding before clear coating? I have some very fine "texture" in the color coat. I sprayed 3 coats of color to the pieces I am painting. I used competition red and bright silver. Other than sanding thru the color coats, is there anything else I should watch for?

You are going to end up laying down 4-5 good slow coats of clear and this will fill in any 'textured' areas in the base. Make sure you slow down and hold the gun close when spraying the clear but not close enough to run it. This will help the clear flow which will help eliminate any texture. Let the clear dry a good 24-36 hours before wet sanding and buffing.
