Hello Everyone! I am new at this site and I hope to get some good info from everyone.
My first question....I just finished priming my car with the High Build Primer in a spray can and i was wondering if i can spray the Paint Shop Paint over this primer, or do i have to use the paint shop primer?
Thanks for the help.

Plenty of help here Chris. Getting readjusted from having the holidays off is sometimes rough.....:D Anyways you can spray the paint shop color and clear over your high build primer. No need to have to use the paint shop primer. If you get any rough areas when spraying the paint shop just hit it with some 1000 grit wet/dry sand paper and go at it again. Always make sure you put plenty of clear coat on because you will be taking some back off when you lightly wet sand and buff.

thanks.
now i got another question.
does the paint need to be buffed also after wet sanding with 1000 grit paper or will it shine just as well if i only buff the clear?
i know these questions are probably dumb, but i this is my first time doing this. i will post some pics of the process soon.

No dumb questions here. Basically what your going to want to do is:
1. Your primer coat is done.
2. After spraying your color you are going to want to wet sand with 1200 or 1000 grit wet sand or in between coats if needed in areas
3. Clear coat with 5-6 coats and wet sand starting with 1200 and finish off with 1500 only to knock off any orange peel to obtain a smooth surface. The smoother the surface the shinier your paint will be after buffing with super fine compound.
You can buff with a high speed buffer ONLY if you are experienced with it. Othewise use an orbital buffer.
