AS a mechanic for over 20 years and seeing all kind of paint jobs and products Duplicolor has really come out with a fine product. I am currently getting my camaro ready for paint. I just finished spraying some paint shop hugger orange around the back window area and trunk lidd. I stripped the car sometime back and removed the glass. This stuff laid down so smooth and was so easy its unreal. The car has been in primer a long time and I have been waiting for some kind of paint thats not base coat clear coat. This car gets driven and raced alot. I have been waiting for this paint to hit the market, wanting something I could spray at home and not have to rush it through all at once. I have painted in the past but I am not a painter, I do have many friends that do paint work, the ones that have seen what has been done so far are amazed at this paint and how slick it is. Now there are many others who still dont get it and say- you cant buy laquer paint, then they cant believe its pre mixed. I just smile and reply DUPLICOLOR.

Don't ya just love it when you can tell the "know it alls" that they are wrong?!?! Most people learn something (never keep up with it) and stick with what little they learn. Have you finished your project? happen to post any pics?

Hammer thanks for the props on Paint Shop. We love it as well and the Hugger Orange is definitely one of my favorite colors. When you clear coat it make sure you lay down plenty of clear, say 5 good coats so you can wet sand and buff it. And yes the great thing is that it is lacquer and you can take your time. There is no time limit for recoat. Just make sure that if your project sits for months like mine do, to wipe the layers of dust back off before you lay down another coat. :D
