right now i'm knee deep in my motorcycle project. I had the frame and swing arm powdercoated wet black. ( a nice deep gloss black), also everything on my bike is powdercoated except for the lower fork tubes. (long story)

I need to get a pretty close match to the frame and other bits. I had a can of gloss black engine enamel (duplicolor) lying around and did a test panel. it's comes out glossly then will dry to a white milky finish.

I really wanna try that professional grade acrylic enamel. I think the gloss black will be a really close match and I don't need the heat protection.

I can't seem to find any in town. (zip code is 83348, delray beach, FL)

also is there any tips for putting this stuff down. right now I have the lower fork tubes paint with rustoleum applicance epoxy. (been on there for 2 months) this stuff is super, super strong, but I don't have the gloss and depth. can I take a red scrubby pad to it and paint over this stuff?

thanks in advance

We did a search and the only place we could find was Full Source, LLC. in Jacksonville (215) 322-1150. I doubt this location will work for you, so we suggest placing an order through your local NAPA. Be sure that they place a "with other goods" order.

As far as painting over the appliance epoxy, yes you can scuff it with a Scotch Brite pad. Just make sure to clean the surface after scuffing.

You might also want to checkout VHT Epoxy... It will definitely have the gloss you're looking for and should be available at a local auto retailer. It's part #SP650 (Gloss Black).
