I would like to paint my bike with the metal specks (red). I have primmed the side covers and the tail w/ Dupli-color gray. After looking area page I read I should have used red primmer. Is the gray ok. Also I understand that I have to use the adhesion spray w/ this paint. When I do the tank (metal) do I have to prim this or can I just sand down and use the adhesion spray. As I said I am very new at this and also a little nervis. All the help with help more then you could know. Thanks to all Pat..

Pat, To answer your first question you can use the gray primer with the Metal Specks. You may just need a few more coats for even coverage. Use the adhesion promotor on bare plastic parts. If any of the plastic was painted prior then all you need to do is scuff it down with a 3M Scotch Brite pad and go from there. Either way you need to scuff down any glossy surface so the new paint has something to 'bite' to or it will just flake off. When painting the tank you don't need adhesion promoter. The standard gray primer will work just fine. Be careful when filling your tank with gas because gas will stain most aerosol paints. Good Luck and sorry for the late reply.
