Paint Shop Clear Question.

Hi,
I'm wanting to paint the bottom half of a car with silver, but not wanting it to have that shiny clear coat look. Wanting a flat look. Can I just spray the color with no clear, or does this paint require that clear be sprayed over color.

i would spray the clear over the color to help protect it from any fading and chipping. after spraying the clear you will need to wet sand it lightly with 2000grit sandpaper. this will make the clear coat look dull or flat. clear coat will shine only after buffing. so just dont buff and it will have a dull flat look. try it out on a small area first to see if this will give you the look you want.
