Hi Guys

Need some info about what a guy who my friend introduced me to last evening who paints cars for a living.

He said don't use Dupl-color spray paints to paint your car. The paint will scratch very easily and will fade in about 2 to 3 years.

Now, guys I never use Dupli-Colors paints to paint my car only on outside furniture and it was good on plastic patio stuff.

Guys, is what this guy said TRUE

FADING & EASILY SCRATCHED is not my idea of a good hold-up paint.

GOD BLESS

Schooner

Hey schooner sorry for the late reply. I know you don't refer to the Paint Shop line in your post but I am going to bring it up. The Paint Shop line has only been on the market for about a year so I am unsure what your friend is referring to with fade in 2-3 years. Paint Shop is our only bulk auto application paint and I would hope he isn't referring to painting your entire car with an aerosol can because that wouldn't hold up well. We do offer OEM touch up in aerosol cans which is a Lacquer based paint. As far as the chipping goes, your not going to get a 'Tough as Nails' finish with an aerosol can nor the Paint Shop line. Paint Shop is certainly more durable than any aerosol application but will never be as durable than a catilized baked-on OEM finish. As far as the fading goes, any painted surface will fade if it isn't waxed or properly taken care of. I hope this helps.
