Hi, painting my Saturn with PS Deep Blue and after a couple coats of clear I'm really getting alot of orange peel. The base coat went on really smooth, as did the primer. I'm using an HVLP and have played with the pressure and distance from the surface with no good results. I'm regulated down to 16psi whenI pull the trigger and my fan adjustment is as wide as it goes. I'm holding it about 8" away. I'm wet sanding it down to try again....maybe I need a better gun??? it's a Campbell hausfeld HVLP. Any ideas? Thanks.

The brand gun you are using is fine. Try slowing down on your passes. This will allow the paint to flow. You want the clear to flow almost to the point of running.
