bought some wheels but im almost 100% sure they have a clear coating on the polished lip. if I clean off the lip's clear coat ( not sanding just prep wipe and dry ) and spray down adhesion promoter.
or
what grit of paper should I use if I have to sand off the clear coat without scratching/scuffing the metal.
asking because I plan to use metalcast

Wipe down with a grease and wax remover or use our PS100 Prep Spray. Adhesion Promoter there after then the Metal Cast.

Do not sand the wheels because the sanding scratches will show through.
