So recently I purchased two cans of 8801109 (Brilliant Black) aerosol spray for painting a urethane lip. I was told at the store that I wouldn't need any primer. I applied several coats, allowing each one to become "tacky" before applying the next.
The next day I flexed the lip a bit while picking it up and half the paint flaked off. What gives? I cleaned the lip beforehand. Now I'm out $12 with nothing to show for it.

if you are painting something that flexes, then you need to have a flex agent added to the paint so it doesnt crack and flake off.

i have a full lip kit i sprayed alot of filler primer and flexed it it seems to couture and flex.
if your painting a aftermarket kit you have to get the solvent wax off ( 300-400 grit sanding ) then clean it off real good, then primer...sand with wet*400 or dry 600 then paint... sand and clear sand buff.
