Here's some pictures of a Chevy 1500 work truck resprayed in a 2 tone paint job using Championship White and Mineral Gray. These pictures were taken after wet sanding the clearcoat with 1200 and 1500 grit and buffing with a high speed buffer & foam pad.

Wet sanding & buffing is key to bringing out a professional looking shine with Paint Shop paint system.

This is the project truck that was on Truck U this weekend isn't it?? Why did he prime over the old paint? It looked like it was in good enough shape to just shoot the new paint over the old.

Primer was probably used for promotional purposes. Using all three products of this system. I think it looks great for a low buck paint job. I would like to know how many coats of primer/paint/clear were used on this vehicle. I posted pics of a pair of headlight covers for my 240sx that I will need to wetsand and buff to remove the fish eye. I want to be sure of how many coats of clear is sufficient to allow for wetsanding to remove fisheye and still have enough clear for protection.

Yes this is the truck we are working on for the Truck U show. The truck was primed because there was a fair amount of body work done so we just primed the entire truck and yes it was to show the 3 steps of the system.

How many coats of color and clear coats did it take to paint the entire truck? I am asking because I have a very similar truck that I am considering using the PS system on it

Hey Admin

Looks like your truck could use some new driver's side door bushings. It appears that your door is sagging by how the 2 tone line doesn't match up between the door and the cab.

BTW those are excellent results!!! Keep up the good work!

Yeah the bushings were bad and they were replaced. Thanks for the props.
