hi yall .. just wondering about a few things
im thinking of painting my textured plastic lower skirts on my 2008 smart car. they are a dark grey that just doesnt match the other black parts of the car.
what would be better the bumper coating or the textured metalic paints? also my front skirt realy takes a beating already have several semi deep dings in the plastic. would one of those hold up or hide impacts better that the other?

Both will work out fine for you but I will suggest using our Adhesion Promoter first. This is a clear primer meant for plastic, #CP199. You will also want to use our Prep Spray #PS100. This is a grease and was remover. Follow the instructions on both products. As far as what product to use for your topcoat. Each product give a different look. The Textured Metallic will hold up and hide flaws MUCH better than the Bumper Paint but it depends on the look you are going for. If you decide to go with the Textured Metallic make sure you hold the can about 14 inches from the surface. If you hold it too close it will run and become unever. This product comes out in high volume because of its large metallic particals. I would suggest practicing first. I have been painted for years and it took me a few times to get it right with this product.

Textured Metallic is fine on its own. It just depends on if you want more gloss.

Hey Guys,

Thinking about having my car re-painted, as I am not 100 happy with the color. Thinking of going black.

What is a reasonable price for a new paint job?

Thanks

I have used the black... really comes out much more grey than black.
But it was honestly very esy to work with! Like mentioned, use at a distance and test on a piece of scrap first as the volume will surprise you! ;)

Edit... guess I didn't read close enough! haha, if you have pics of this stuff clear coated please share, I have not tried it with a clear yet.
