I'm planning on buying an air compressor this coming wknd, can you recommend what type would be good for painting my car's. example is a pancake air compressor good enough & how many gallons of air & how much psi is good enough i also rather go with electric/oil free.im looking at a black and decker 9527 type 1, 120 v ac 3.3 amps
1.0 cfm at 30 psi sealed up to 150 psi double insulated. will this compressor do
Money is pretty tight right now so I'm trying to get the most bang 4 my buck thanx 4 any feed back!:D

Personally I'd get a 25-33 gallon 150psi compressor for painting. Pancakes don't cut it.

You are going to want at least a 25 gallon. It will have to maintain a constant 30-40 psi. We have used the pancake style and it didn't keep up with an HVLP gun at only 15psi.
