1. can i shoot some type of clear coat over textured metallic paint from duplicolor? 2. on my way to pick up the16- t125clear spray cans. I purchased an oem automotive spray gun model #25825 i have 2 paint the base coat with the t199 rattle cans that i already bought. but now i can use the spray gun to throw down the clear can you tell me how many cans of ps clear will i need for the job and what psi, should i use thanx again big boys blazer

A clear coat on the Textured Metallic is not needed but is certainly your choice. You can use the T125 clear.
I looked up the spray gun you purchased. It is a siphon style so you will want to use approximately 30-40 psi. You will also want to get yourself an inline filter. These are threaded onto the gun at the air inlet and then the air hose fitting threads onto the filter. Very basic. It basically looks like a plastic ball. Contact your local Sherwin Williams Automotive or PBE paint store to obtain one.
You will need approximately 4-5 quarts of clear depending on spray technique. A good 5 coats of clear over the color coat is always a good rule of thumb with Paint Shop. You are going to end up wet sanding some of that off after you are completed for buffing purposes. Try to paint on a very dry day with low humidity.
