I'm sure the package will give the specs, but what is the dry time on the Primer/Base/Clear before I can sand each and prep it for the next step?
Also, what do you reccomend for prepping bare metal before applying primer?
What grit should I use on the primed piece before laying base?
What grit on the base prior to Clear
And finally, what grit on the clear prior to buffing/polish?
Thanks!

Paint Shop can be sanded after a few hours....I personally wait at least 24 hours of cure time before i sand primer/base/clear. 320grit will work great for primer allowing the paint to bond better. do not sand with alot of pressure and make sure the sandpaper stays clean or it will scratch through. wet sanding is best. The base may not need sanding before clear if you get it to spray flat with no runs, drips, or dirt. IF you do need to sand the base, i recommend using 1000 grit wetsanding. This will help prevent from removing too much. Wetsand the clear coat with 1500-2000 grit. Note: Spray 3-4 coats at least to allow for sanding. The clear coat will look dull after you wet sand. Buff it with last with buffing compound and it will give you the deep shine.

Chris thanks for the reply.
As Chris mentions, Paint Shop can be sanded within a few hours but that always depends on the weather. I strongly suggest wet sanding any flaws after 24 hours. 320 grit is good for any body work but 600 is what you will want to use prior to priming. When color or clear sanding use 1500-2000 wet paper as Chris mentions. Prep and patience is the name of the game to get quality work.
