clear coat over brushed aluminum???

I love the look of freshly wire brushed aluminum, and want to leave my motorbike tank in this raw form. Can I clear it with Dupli clear coat? I have read here that the engine high temp clear seems to stand up to gas spills well also

Sure why not! We have cleared many bare metal items with our clears. You just have to make sure that the tank is well prepped. Use our Prep Spray PS100 prior to clearing. Engine clear would be an excellent choice. The cool thing is that it is easy to do over if it gets scratched up.
