Newbie here, I have a 79 malibu drag car I want to paint,I already have the materials to base clear it with urethane but to be honest shooting a catalysed paint with out a fresh air supply scares the crap out of me so I was looking at paint shop as an option. The car will be garaged mostly so I wouldn't think durability should be an issue? And am I correct laquer is safe to shoot with a normal charcoal respirator?

Paint Shop is the way to go, if you are a newbie. The paint is very user friendly and if you do make any mistakes, it is very easy to fix. I recommend Paint Shop to anyone, new or pro! Be sure to spray the paint around 20-25 PSI and keep a distance away about 12inches. if you do get orange peel, it is very easy to sand smooth. lets see some pics

Yes Paint Shop is safe to spray using a standard filtered mask. Make sure you have proper ventilation in your garage as well. Good luck with your project. I own a 79 Malibu as well.
