Hows the finish of this stuff? I like the graphite color but it's only available in this branding.
Would the results be similar to acrylic enamel???
Thanks in advance.

The wheel paints are a very nice product. It is enamel that cures with the heat from the brakes tranmitted through the wheels. The Graphite comes out as a satin finish and if you want it glossy you must clear coat it with the Wheel clear.

I just did this with the stock silver color and clear. I was very impressed with my results! Only tip I have for you is, when you primer look for fish eye spots. Wherever they appear, spray another coat until they dissapear. I don't know if there was something on my rims or not after I sanded them down, but that took care of it. Good luck!

the finish isn't bad, I would give it a long time to cure.
I used self etching primer, 3 coats, 2-3 minutes between coats, 30 minute and wheel paint 3 coats, 15 minutes between coats. It never really seemed to get "hard". I tried accelerating it by putting it under a couple 60 watt bulbs but that's like trying to cure paint with an easy bake oven. Up till the time I put the axles together they did not pass the nail test. I imagine that they will harden more over time.
in terms of smoothness, it was OK for a spray paint. smoother than the dupli color clear coat i've used before, probably because all of the prep I did for it, i had a lot of primer down, a lot of cure time and sanded it smooth.

The last coat can be medium, but careful not to get runs. I think the heavier you go on the last coat, the glossier it will be but you have to balance that vs runs.
