I know I post too much... just trying to get together my thoughts before painting my CJ.

Remember the 69 and 70 Mach I's... the black striping. I'm thinking of painting the hood of my CJ with this color, some kind of striping design, that will dull the effects of the sun's glare.

How do I accomplish this effect?

After you apply clear coat over the black striping, you can wet sand the clear coat with 1000-2000 grit sandpaper to dull the clear. Clear coat will only shine after buffing, so if you just wet sand it and dont buff, you will have a flat black look.

Never enough questions :D

You can also leave the Paint Shop as is after you have sprayed it. With Lacquer you have to wet sand the buff to get it to really shine so you might be happy with your results as is, prior to even wet sanding.
