Hello every one.
i have a 88 bronco 2 it has very few rust spots and a couple dents. no big deal for me. i just have a few question. i want to paint it hot rod flat black. does duplicolor have any paint to match my needs? and can i e it in in a gallon size and have a can of aerosol for door jambs and touch up? also i want to paint my emblems to make them stand out more and be brighter, i also want to do the same with my grill. i am removing the emblems that say Bronco II and keeping the bucking horse.

Well we did test a flat black clear version of our Paint Shop but had issues with marring/scratching easy so we scraped the idea. With any Flat or Matte type finish paint job you are better off going with a Urethane 2 part hardened system. You can use the Paint Shop system and not buff it but it will not look like what you are after. I do know that many people have painted their entire truck with our Truck Bed Coating Aerosol TR250 and were very pleased with the results. It comes out as a satin black finish. That will be your cheapest route.
I hope this helps.

i just want that satin look. is there a satin type clear? cause i could just lay a primer and base coat of black and clear it with a satin clear? or is there a company out there with a satin clear? i proly should been more specific on the end result i wanted. kinda like a old 50's lowrider that kinda black. i know that House of Kolor and DuPont have a hot rod black.
what if i primed it flat black and cleared it?

This will get the look you need.....Use paint shop black and spray paint shop clear 3-4 coats and sand with 1000grit and then final sand with 2000 grit sandpaper. the clear will look satin because of the sanding. This is normal. Clear doesnt have a shiny mirror look until it is buffed. so if you just wet sand the clear and not buff after, you will have a satin or flat black look. I have a picture of my Nova in the "1968 nova project" thread that shows what the clear looks like when wet sanding.
