I have an aluminum master cylinder that is cleaned and sanded (180 grit)
Can i spray the dupli color black engine enamel paint directly over top of bare aluminum without primer
or
do i need an etching primer?
This item will not see any heat .. should i bake after its dry?
thanks

Just make sure the aluminum is clean from any sanding dust and oils. I usually give it a spray of brake cleaner, let it flash off then you can use the engine paint with out primer.

Which product will withstand brake fluid better?
Also for the epoxy does it have to sit 7 days for full cure??

A: The paint should be dry before heat curing. 24 hours is enough time.

A: Cured Engine Enamel will. Keep in mind that brake fluid is very hard on paint so if the fluid sits on it for a long period of time there is a chance it will lift the paint.

A: 7 days is about how long it takes for Enamels to fully dry.
