stripes and clearing???

question have a 02 mustang which i 2-toned it in silver/blue with orange pin stripe ( pic ) i want to go back and paint the orange stripe on it then clear it. what is the process other than laying it out as far as painting then clearing it?
how do i smooth it from the silver to orange to blue so it doesnt feel high ?
will i have to clear the whole car?http://www.gotstang.com/gtmustang
