I recently fixed some rust spots and cracked paint on my 87 Buick GN roof. I did some bondo work in a few spots as well. So basically, I have spots of bondo next to sanded paint on my roof. The problem is I had an old can of self etching primer and I sprayed a light coat of that over everything to use as a guide coat for blocking. I realize that self etch is ment for bare metal, but is it okay over paint and bondo? Or do I need to sand it all off and go with the epoxy primer? I have read online that self etch will cause issues if sprayed over bondo and paint.
At least if I have to sand it all off, It will be easy to see whe that greenish color of the self etch is gone.
Thanks
