scratchs in new paint

I am using the new hugger orange paint shop paint. I have scratched it in a couple of places. It seems to me the paint maybe some what soft or not cured all the way. Did I clear it to soon? How long should I wait to clear it? Maybe I just thought it was soft, I did it with a screw driver. The finish is just great, you can come your hair in it.

Hammer, depending on how many coats were layered down will depend on the dry time. Even though lacquer paint dries fast to the touch, it takes a few days for it to cure all the way through.

Does this mean I should wait longer to clear coat?

Sorry for the late reply Hammer. No it just means wait longer to sand and buff.
