Ok it’s my turn. Here is my 79 Bronco. No I didn’t just buy it; I have been driving this for 30 years. Got a deal on it in 1981, for $5000. Since then it has been repainted once, about 10 windshields (there is a funny story or two to go with them), it’s on its 3rd engine, 2cnd tranny, more U-joints and brake parts than I can count. Let’s see where to start. Here is what it currently has under the hood. We put a Crate 400hp 400, headers, Edelbrock intake, Holley Carb, 4” lift, Warne Winch in the front, 12.50 x 35 BF MT’s, custom drive shafts, front and rear, LockRight in the front diff, Detroit Locker in the rear (Posi trac front and rear Whoohoo). About every 10-12 years I would pull everything out of the interior sand it down and prime and paint. Well this time I am planning on covering it with Dupli-Color bedliner. First I am going to test the product on the tail gate see if it gives me the finish I am looking for. Wanting a simi smooth flat black finish. Today it wasn’t raining, so I got started or at least tried too. I rolled the air compressor out, pulled out the Soda Blaster, and started working at the rust on the tailgate area. Well there is more rust there this time around. About the time I got into a good grove working here comes the rain. The Soda Blaster works pretty well in those tight places at blowing out the chipped paint, and rust, not like a sand blaster digging into the metal. Tip 1 have the shop vac running the whole time in the area you are working, the Blaster makes a lot of dust. Here are a few pics of my before so you folks will know where I am starting. Will try to include some more as we move along.

Hey thanks for sharing and I actually have been meaning to reply to you first post. I love the truck. Looks tough! I use to own a 79 Ford pick-up. Anyways it is going to be a little difficult to get a smooth flat/satin finish with any truck bed coating. Your best bet might be to use our TRG250 thinning it way down with acetone and applying it with a spray gun. Can't wait to see your progress pics.
