When color sanding with Paint Shop, is it necessary to take the orange peel completely down smooth or will the clear fill in some of the pits? I am afraid I am going to sand through the color.

Thanks.

it is ok to have a little orange peel. If you cant feel it, but you can kinda see it, then the clear coat will fill it in. Use 3-4 coats of clear(at least) to allow for sanding and buffing. if you would happen to sand through the color, you can just spray on a little more color in the area and wet sand to blend it back in. Paint Shop is a very user friendly system that works well for beginners.

I get a little orange peel at times. I just clear it and wet sand with 600 and then 1000 and then dry and buff. Shines pops out almost instantly smooth as glass.

It is very important to build up the clear coat so you have plenty to work with when wet sanding and buffing.
