combining paint brands question

I am painting a 1971 Plymouth Valiant. I want to paint it white with a "Hammered steel look" top where it would normally have been a vinyl top.

Rustoleum makes a Hammered steel paint (in aresol can) that i like.
My question is since i am using paint shop champion white can i spray the hammered steel over it and then spray the clear over all of that with little or no problem?

I am not sure what type of paint the Rustoleum is however Paint Shop color and clear are lacquers.

Keep this rule in mind when painting:

Enamel over Lacquer will work
Lacquer over Enamel will not work and it will crack on you
