A Walmart I stopped in today 5/12/08 had a hundred or more 2 oz (I think that's the size) bottles of Dupli-Color Touch Up paint sitting in the clearance aisle. BUT no lookup booklet. Ouch!! I just spent the last 4 hours trying to find any of the old info on the internet and found nothing but a ton of stuff on the new Scratch Fix 2 in 1. I have to go out there again tomorrow 5/13/08 and would like to load up on the paints that match my cars. The price each is $1.74 so you can understand my point right? Does someone have an old catalog that they could reply with the codes I need or is there actually a web site with the old info I couldn't find? The colors I need deciphered are:
94 Ford,
YO- Oxford White M5920,
RC- Medium Platinum Metallic M6454,
RD- Teal Metallic M6630.
93 Ford,
MK-Twilight Blue metallic M6290,
K3- Bimini Blue Metallic M6485
1994 Chevy,
48- Dark Yellow Green Metallic WA9806.
The codes on the bottles are like FMxxxx or CCxxxx and GMxxxx. The x's meaning 4 numbers of course. GM or CC or FM and then 4 digits. It's confusing because I have other Dupli-Color touch up 1/2 oz bottles from a few years back and they have a pn# SF GM 381 for GM code 14/ WA8767 and DS GM 138 for GM 10 Cameo White. There's all kinds there at that store for domestic and foreign cars and trucks. The paint in the bottles is still good and mixes with just a little shaking. Ya know, I would think that if no one buys these because the codes are impossible to decipher without a booklet these will just end up in the dumpster in a few weeks instead of being put to good use. There's enough in a bottle to thin a little and use with an air brush or straight up with a tooth pick to touch up problems or nicks in a paint job. So, I hope one of you can help. Thank you for this forum existing. This is my first post as I registered tonight.
Thanks
