I will be painting my 1985 trans am.It is black, and I will stay with that color.
I used the gloss black spray can of gloss black enamal to some parts on the car.It looks great. If I could shot the whole car with a can I would. But I dont know if that is a good idea.My goal is to get a really good paint job on a low budget.I would love any advace or help.Thank you.Sorry this is so long.First question.
1.Does dupli color make gloss black enamal that I can just pour and shot?
2.The parts on my car that are enamal do I have to strip to metal, then lay primer then shot paint shop,or can I just paint over that?
3.Some people say that the lacquar paint job wont last long, and it will shrink, peel, crack, and so fourth. Is this true?
4.If I can find an enamal that I can just pour and shot,Can I lay clear over enamal?
5.What kind of paint is better?Enamal or Lacquar?

1.Does dupli color make gloss black enamal that I can just pour and shot?
A: At this time we do not offer this product.

2.The parts on my car that are enamal do I have to strip to metal, then lay primer then shot paint shop,or can I just paint over that?
A: If you are applying Paint Shop over a recent enamel paint job you will have to remove the enamel.

3.Some people say that the lacquar paint job wont last long, and it will shrink, peel, crack, and so fourth. Is this true?
A: The old school lacquer of the 60's, 70's and 80's will end up cracking however it took a good 15 years or more to do so. Paint Shop is formulated with different solvants that the lacquer of yesterday and just like any paint job if maintained properly it will hold up well for you.

4.If I can find an enamal that I can just pour and shot,Can I lay clear over enamal?
A: Yes as long as you use an enamel clear.

5.What kind of paint is better?Enamal or Lacquar?
A: Enamel will never give you the shine that lacquer will however enamel may have better chip resistance.

Lacquer and enamel both have pros and cons.

Thanks
