Hi All;
I am curious about the Paint shop system, I would like to use this paint on my "68" GTO.
First, can I mix red & black to create a maroon? Also how can I add "metalflake" ?
I am starting with mostly bare metal with some body filler and a little OEM paint still present (well sanded). What primers should I use and in what order?
And what grit should I use before applying the primer?
That's about it for now!
Thanks!

Is there no advice for potential users?

Hey there. Sorry for the delayed reply. Still getting used to logging on everyday. Well it sounds like you are going all out with your GTO. In order to get a quality finish with Paint Shop or any paint job alike...prep is extremely important. If your body work and primer have flaws then the color will show it every time. Also you MUST use a sealer after all of your body work and filler primer has been applied. First off I really can't say how close of a Maroon you will get when mixing our Red and Black. You may just end up with a dark red. I would experiment with that before anything. Also if you want a metallic finish it must be added to the clear. Any metallic that is added to the color will get drowned out. Keep a close eye out because we have plans for a metallic clear in the very near future. As far as your body work goes, you must use a quality filler primer over top your body filler to fill in any sanding marks or uneven areas and block sand with 6-800 grit over and over until the body is flawless. Then a sealer then primer and paint. I hope this helps.
I will be logging on daily as of now.

"Also you MUST use a sealer after all of your body work and filler primer has been applied. "
Am I reading this correctly? Use a sealer AFTER filler primer?

As long as your filler primer isn't showing any staining from the filler itself. Some fillers stain through the primer. If there isn't any staining then you are fine. :)
