I just purchased some nice rims that look great on my Celica, but I wanted to paint the caliper and drums. Would painting the drums interferer with the brakes when I stop?

Paint the outside sufaces of the drums only. do not paint the inside where the brake pads touch. i have pictures of drums i painted in the "Painted brake drums..." thread. same with the calipers. lets see some pics:D

Exactly right. Just lay the drums brake side down on a piece of card board and go to town. Make sure you wire wheel or sand blast the drums first to knock off any rust. You might want to consider some of the 500 degree Engine Primer DE1612 as well befor you paint.
