New to paintshop questions

I was wondering the longest you can wait after spraying primer to base coat and also how long after base to clear without sanding I was wanting to spray primer then base tape off a flame then spray it a different color and clear but was wanting to know how long I had or do I need to go over with clear, sand then put on second color ?? They say no recoat window is that if you sand ? Please give ideas how you would do it

No recoat window period. It doesn't matter if you sand or not. If you plan to tape over top of the base coat then I would give 24 hours of dry time before any taping. Check out this video.
