metallic clear coat

Can the metallic:confused: clear be used as the final coat? Or do I need to clear over the metallic clear too? Can the metallic clear be sprayed over the candy red? Thanks Mike.

Mike, Been out of the office for a few days preparing for SEMA. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I also left you a reply to your private message. You must use the BSP300 Clear over the Metallic Clear. The final clear is what you will be building up and wet sanding. When you apply the final clear make sure you apply it slow and hold the gun closer to make the clear flow so you don't get as much orange peel. Apply the first coat of final clear lightly then heavier after that.

You can apply the Metallic Clear over any of our Paint Shop colors.

If the clear coat is gone then you need to either reclear or repaint all together. You might be able to lightly wet sand with 2000 grit and reclear. If your base is thin then you will have to repaint.

Thanks for all the help I think my probelm was that I wasnt putting enough clear down to "dry". but I just have a problem with orange peel now I quess I just need more practice. anyone have any tips on how to get the almost perfact clear coat with minimal sanding?
