 I painted my tank with the blue/red mirage kit. It is all done, used the whole kit. I put it away for the winter in a box. Getting things ready to reinstall and I seen the tank had scuff marks on the sides from the box. ( kids moved ), I would like to paint flames on it now to cover the scuffs. What paint should I use and is there any special preep work or do I just tape them on and spray. Thanks

scuff the surface with sandpaper in the areas you wish to paint. tape off the area then prime. to ensure that you get the exact color primer before paint is a must.then clear over it.
lets see some pics:D

1. I would definitely wetsand the whole tank with 1500 grit paper and the areas that were scuffed.
2. Tape off areas to be painted.
3. Spray down your color of choice in light coats
4. Reclear the entire tank with several coats to help fill in any tape lines.
5. Let dry for several days.
6. Wetsand again with 1500 or higher paper.
7. Hand buff with light compound.
