Color over color?

ok, my situation is i just painted my car black using Paint Shop. i have not sprayed clear coat yet and now i want to change the color. Do i have to sand off all the black or would it be ok to spray over the black paint with the new color? i will still be using Paint Shop paint. thanks.

My suggestion is to wetsand as much of the black back off as you can with 1200 grit paper and then top coat over that. You may have to reprime if your top coating with one of the lighter colors since the black will be difficult to cover up. The primer will give you even and full color distribution on your new color choice.
